Silence is more musical than any song? I beg to differ. In my opinion, noise IS diamond. Been keeping the tracklist of my favorites in my iPod on repeat mode or the tele flickered on the moment I stepped home till I doze off; all for fear the murderous golden silence will fill me with dread. I realize how unbearable quiescence can become when I'm alone, especially in my cooped-up and pigeon-holed space of your average slumber room. Was watching a light-hearted flick on cable earlier on and at one spontaneous time, I let loose a small and barely audible giggle. It then dawned on me how isolated and reclusive I was. "Laughter is by definition healthy and works by the more, the merrier", quoted Doris Lessing.
Please teach me how to do that in solitude.

"Cause when you're gone, all the colors seem to fade..."
I'm back at down under! The weather's awfully bleak and I'm constantly freezing my butt off in this cold spell. School has started on Monday, trying tremendously hard to get back into the swing of things once again. Had a drug calculations test today; it's a hurdle requirement that one must attain 100% before clinical commencement. Not that I'm blowing my own horn, but I managed to ace the paper despite it being a real killer. Three quarters of the class didn't make it, so I'm absolutely thrilled that I need not do a second attempt! Yippie!
The past few weeks has been just totally rad! Spent 5 weeks back in Singapore's humid wave, but it felt more like 5 days. Time hurtled away too quickly! So sorry to all my dearest bosoms and amigos whom I had failed to catch up with. I'll be returning for good from melbourne in November. Promise we'll hobnob then, definitely!
Caught this onboard my flight back to Singapore, amidst the elation and fever of returning home. Croons: "I'm on Cloud Number 9!"

Austrian Airline may not have fantastic legroom but their food was a reasonably toothsome cater. Check it out!
2 weeks was gone babysitting the 2 little rascals as my sister's domestic helper had to go on emergency home leave. Can't say the chore was exactly a piece of cake, but oh well, I did had my fair share of joy and laughter with them. How can one not cave in to those innocent eyes and angelic smiles.. =)

JM's all hyped up on wakeboarding now. Getting pretty pro at it. *grins* Paid a visit to Batam's Cable-Ski venue during one of the weekends. Was astounded by the dizzying array of wires running here and there. Needless to say, I was badly burnt that day. Preferred being a spectator on boat and taking snapshots of the others in action every now and then though.
Had my first fishing tryout last Sunday at JM's dad's company family outing day. A crash course on how to cast and reel did not do wonders apparently, cause boy, do I suck - BIG time. *LOL* Poor co-ordination skills, I highly reckon. Nonetheless, in my relentless pursuit, I managed to catch my first fish but obviously the real and big tackle was handed over to the old hand. A whoopee experience indeed! Prawning was fun too, but buffet for the mozzies was obviously inevitable. Company does play an influential role, I must add. *Thanks dear!*
Besides attending my cousin's wedding, family gatherings and going for endless shopping sprees with my mum and sis, that pretty much sums up my whole winter vocation. Time does flurry by when the surf's up! It's time to hit those books again. *urgh* just 12 more weeks! and it's home sweet home once more! got rather homesick the past few days. but I guess it's just a phase and should pass.
But still, sigh.. I miss you all... so very much. Sob..

Secret Garden, Bruce Springsteen
She'll let you in her house
If you come knockin' late at night
She'll let you in her mouth
If the words you say are right
If you pay the price
She'll let you deep inside
But there's a secret garden she hides
She'll let you in her car
To go drivin' round
She'll let you into the parts of herself
That'll bring you down
She'll let you in her heart
If you got a hammer and a vise
But into her secret garden, don't think twice
You've gone a million miles
How far'd you get
To that place where you can't remember
And you can't forget
She'll lead you down a path
There'll be tenderness in the air
She'll let you come just far enough
So you know she's really there
She'll look at you and smile
And her eyes will say
She's got a secret garden
Where everything you want
Where everything you need
Will always stay
A million miles away
