Welcome to Sydney, not?

Welcome to Sydney, not?
Déjà vu – the illusion of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time. Ok, maybe not for the first time in my situation but it still works. Thought I would never see this phase entering my life once again but it did. It’s really happening.
So I guess it’s Adios Singapore and Bonjour Sydney.

· I can’t cook – no kitchen stove is available here, unlike the one in Melb. Hence it’s microwavable meals and instant noodles for now.
· There is no TV!!
· There is no central heating system too. Just hope it doesn’t get too freezing cold during winter.
· It’s located at the outskirts of the city area. I don’t even know how to get to Central yet.
· Laundromat is within walking distance but less convenient than before.
· Internet is pay-as-you-surf and there is no package on unlimited usage. I reckon I’d be forking out a fortune on data connection.
· Rent is a whooping A$1200/mth!! That’s 4/5 of my allowance from MOH. Grumbles.

· it has a queen sized bed – more room for rolling, hither and thither
· it’s a corner dwelling and faces the main road
· its wardrobe is enormous - have yet to get hangers
Overall, it’s actually pretty decent and apt for one person.

Needless to say, I miss home. Really miss home. Couldn’t help but whimper when I woke up in the middle of the night. Perhaps it’s the unfamiliarity of the surrounding and the lack of that recognizable “smell”.
I know I’ve said this, but I just wanna say it again. and again. and again.
I wanna go home.

Secret Garden, Bruce Springsteen
She'll let you in her house
If you come knockin' late at night
She'll let you in her mouth
If the words you say are right
If you pay the price
She'll let you deep inside
But there's a secret garden she hides
She'll let you in her car
To go drivin' round
She'll let you into the parts of herself
That'll bring you down
She'll let you in her heart
If you got a hammer and a vise
But into her secret garden, don't think twice
You've gone a million miles
How far'd you get
To that place where you can't remember
And you can't forget
She'll lead you down a path
There'll be tenderness in the air
She'll let you come just far enough
So you know she's really there
She'll look at you and smile
And her eyes will say
She's got a secret garden
Where everything you want
Where everything you need
Will always stay
A million miles away
