Delayed.
Elapsed.
Overdue.
It's been a good two months since my last proper account.
Besides school, I'm kept awfully busy with the move.
Trying to get my act together and adapt to the alienated abode now;
certainly seems like the stabilizing phase back in Aussie all over again.
Foreign place, outlandish surroundings.
Feeling really indifferent.
Being a true heartlander definitely has its perks though -
grocers and hawkers,
markets and name-it-you-have-its;
they were all just a stone's throw away.
Having said that, I still miss my old nest terribly.
Shannon's wedding was a big blast.
"His story, Her story".
Stretched limousine,
Just married.
Chupa chups lollis,
Molten Brown souvenirs.
Momentous montages,
compelling speeches.
Happy tears,
Squeeze-the-pain-out-of-you hugs.
It was just beyond description.
Will let the pictures do the talking once I get my hands on them.
Pinkie promise.
Hmmm... the festive seasons are really kaput.
Xmas, new year, lunar new year...
No extravagant parties,
just modest and mellowed times with love ones.
Perhaps its age.
Or plain excuses.
Nonetheless, I still relished the holidays.
Just finished two papers last week.
Deadly zombiefied,
but am pleasurably pleased as punch.
Am beginning my month-long hospital attachments on Monday.
First stop - Tan Tock Seng A&E.
The busiest in town,
so the experience will definitely be a great eye-opener.
Alittle apprehensive as usual,
but am indubitably psyched too.
But before that,

rollerblading tom!
Time to rid of those extra calories from CNY.
Lol.
Loves.
P.S.: It was an unexpected encounter.
Two unexpected encounters actually.
Lots of catching up to do,
since hide and seek was duly over.
And chatted we did.
Over nothing and almost everything under the sun.
I told you how I was fumbling clumsily through life.
Made mistakes, had regrets.
And how I'm better because of them.
Drowning sorrows in a bowl of pain no more,
I was able to look at you and smile,
just like an old long lost bosom soulmate...

Secret Garden, Bruce Springsteen
She'll let you in her house
If you come knockin' late at night
She'll let you in her mouth
If the words you say are right
If you pay the price
She'll let you deep inside
But there's a secret garden she hides
She'll let you in her car
To go drivin' round
She'll let you into the parts of herself
That'll bring you down
She'll let you in her heart
If you got a hammer and a vise
But into her secret garden, don't think twice
You've gone a million miles
How far'd you get
To that place where you can't remember
And you can't forget
She'll lead you down a path
There'll be tenderness in the air
She'll let you come just far enough
So you know she's really there
She'll look at you and smile
And her eyes will say
She's got a secret garden
Where everything you want
Where everything you need
Will always stay
A million miles away
